An Old Friend Is Back
The Sojourn’s story starts over 60 years ago, when it first opened its doors to Los Angeles as the Valley Sojourn Motel. Treasured by both locals and visitors alike, the beloved motel rose to icon status during the height of California’s golden age of travel. Families and lovebirds on their way to the newly opened DISNEYLAND© theme park were known to pull over on Ventura Boulevard for a night or two in the charming motel down the street from Mel’s Drive-In, where Elvis Presley’s sweet croon floated in from the classic convertibles cruisin’ in the distance.
The Sojourn welcomes guests back to the fully renovated property on Ventura Boulevard (except for the vintage sign out front, that’s the original) for a stay that harkens back to those sweet summer days of 1950’s America, a character hard to find in other modern hotels near Sherman Oaks, CA.
